Upper Township covers a vast area in Cape May County. It encompasses the little town of Beesley's Point on the bay to the Corbin City outside of Tuckahoe. It does not have its own police department but depends on the NJ State Police.

Upper Township has good shopping which runs from numerous strip malls some with supermarkets and well known drug stores to mom and pop vegetable, flower and seafood stands. You can find other great stores throughout the area as new stores are being  constructed constantly. Upper Township is really growing up!

During the warmer months, going to the beach and the boardwalk would be one of the first choices if you live in Upper Township as Ocean City and Sea Isle are just across the bridges. Wildwood is not that far either.

You can drive a short distance to shop in Cape May Court House or go to the malls in Egg Harbor Township. Of course, there are museums surrounding the area.

There are parks all over Upper Township. Basketball courts, baseball fields and playground equipment can be found in every community. Because there is not tremendous traffic in these towns, bicycle riding and walking is favored. Avoiding the main streets is wise however.

One of the nice things that they have in Petersburg is a new skateboard park at Amanda's Field.  You must have pads for your knees and elbows, wrist guards and you must wear a helmet ... all the normal safety precautions.

Most towns have their own volunteer Fire Department and Rescue squad. The schools in Upper Township are the best of the best. There is no high school in the township and the students are bussed to the very popular and brand new Ocean City High School at 6th and Atlantic Avenue.
